Cube Enterainment’s rookie group BEAST joins the battle of the boy bands with the debut mini-album Beast Is The B2ST! Formerly known as B2ST, K-pop’s newest BEAST idols are starting out with a slight edge thanks to a six-member lineup full of familiar faces. Member Lee Gi Kwang debuted solo under the stage name AJ earlier this year. Jang Hyun Seung (SO-1) was the eliminated sixth member from Big Bang’s pre-debut reality program, and Yoon Du Jun was one of the JYP trainees eliminated from 2AM and 2PM’s pre-debut reality program. Along with Yang Yo Seob, Son Dong Woon, and former Xing member Yong Jun Hyung (Poppin’ Dragon), the six guys were introduced as B2ST for their pre-debut MTV Korea program, but now they’ve graduated to BEAST status! The group’s super catchy debut single Bad Girl was produced by hitmakers Lee Sang Ho and Shinsadong Tiger, who also composed labelmate 4Minute’s hit singles Hot Issue and Muzik. BEAST’s highly anticipated debut album comes with four other tracks including the slow-tempo R&B number “Mystery”, the trendy pop tune Oasis, and the group anthem Beast is the B2ST.
